In-person Class Dates:
*If Harrisonville Schools are closed due to inclement weather, then Food Handler Class will be cancelled.
If you do not wish to attend an in-person class, go to www.statefoodsafety.com and take the Missouri, Cass County online course for $25.00. Upon passing the course, bring in a copy of the State Food Safety Certificate and photo ID to obtain a food handler card.
Food Handler cards are printed Monday-Friday except for County holidays. Hours are 8:00am-noon, 1:00-4:30pm. The office is closed the first Thursday of the month from 8:00-10:30am.
Note: The State Food Safety Certificates are only valid for 30 days from the date the test is successfully passed. If a student does not retrieve his/her food handler card in 30 days, the certificate becomes invalid and the student will have to take the class again.
The certificates are accepted by the Cass County Health Department as valid certification for 30 days from the date the test is successfully passed.
