Welcome to the Cass County Auditor’s Office

• The Auditor of Cass County is currently Ron Johnson. He has been the Auditor since Jan. 1, 2011 and is serving a four-year term.
• The Cass County Auditor is responsible for establishing, implementing, and monitoring the accounting and budgeting system. The Auditor is responsible for preparing the County’s financial statements and coordinating the annual financial audit.
• The County Auditor also monitors compliance with internal procedures, reviews accounts payable and receivables activity, monitors and evaluates the condition of the County budget and funds, and shall certify all contracts and expenditures.
• Shall prepare a statement of the estimated revenues of the county, classified as to funds and sources, and shall furnish the budget officer of the county with an itemized list of county expenditures for as many previous fiscal years as may be deemed proper for enabling the budget officer to arrive at a reasonable estimate of the anticipated revenues and the necessary expenses of the county in the preparation of the county budget.
• General Insurance and Inventory is also maintained in the Auditor’s office.
