Marriage Licenses Requirements:  380-8122 voice mail  

o        All parties must appear together at the Recorders Office.

o        All parties must have indentification showing their age. Driver's license is acceptable if over 18 years of age.

o        Age Requirements  15 &  under requires court order.  15 to 18 requires Parent or Custodial Guardian to appear, produce identification, sign consent form and affirm that the information they have given is true and correct.

o        Social Security number is required.

o        Blood test is not required.

o        If either have been married before must provide the date their last marriage ended.

o        Fee is $51 cash only payable at the time of application. We do not accept checks for marriage licenses.

o        Three (3) day waiting period after you fill out your application.

o        License is valid for thirty (30) days from the day you pickup the license.Licenses are good for up to six (6) months. After six (6) months, you must reapply.

o        You may purchase your license in any county,  but  must get married in Missouri.

Document formatting requirements for recording real estate     RSMO 59.310 
Effective January 2, 2002 
1. DOCUMENT 

o        8 1/2 x 11 size

o        White, light-colored, 20# without watermarks.

o        Printed in black or dark ink on only one side.

o        No continuous forms or permanent binding, may staple for presentation.

o        No smaller than 8 point type. Exhibits are exempt.

o        Signatures must be in black or dark ink to insure reproduction from record.

o        All signatures must have the name typed, stamped or printed underneath(including notary signature).

2. MARGINS 

o        Top 3" vertical space of first page for Recorder's certification. First page only. No other information may appear in this area.

o        All other information contained within the margins is considered nonessential and does not have to comply with statue requirements. The Recorder is not liable or responsible for insuring that nonessential information is archived.

3. FIRST PAGE DOCUMENTATION 
Every document (except plats and surveys) containing any of the following items shall have such information on the first page of the document below the 3" horizonal margin. 

o        Title of the document.

o        Date of the document (date must appear on the first page in order to be indexed)

o        All grantor's names (grantors and grantees must be designated in order to be indexed, filers responsibility).

o        All grantees' names.

o        Any statutory addresses (must state "Grantee's mailing address")

o        Legal description of the property (address is not a legal description).

o        Applicable reference book and page for statutory requirements (must be designated in order to be indexed).

(Documents  presented for re-recording must have a new first page with all indexing criteria), new signatures and new acknowledgement.  If there is not room on the first page, the page reference within the document where the information is set out shall be stated on the first page.  

Documents which do not meet the standardization requirements and which are not exempt  will have an additional recording fee of $25.00 per document.
