The Cass County Health Department is proud to offer American Red Cross certified blended learning CPR/AED and First Aid classes!  The American Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED program trains participants to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies, injuries and sudden illness until advanced medical personnel take over.

The Cass County Health Department utilizes blended learning courses through the American Red Cross, meaning that the main classroom portion of the class is completed online through modules that students can take at their own pace, on their own time. After completing the online modules, students meet in-person for skills training to finalize their certification. The online portion must be completed to attend the in-person skills session.

The class fee is $50, and certification is valid for 2 years. The payment deadline for the $50 class fee is 4:30pm on the Monday before the in-person skills assessment. Late payments will not be accepted. If payment is not received by this time, your spot may be filled by another student.

Groups and Family Members:
If you have a group or multiple members of the same household signing up for the same class, each person must register with a different email address. The Red Cross Student Portal will not accept two students with the same email address in the same class. If your group or family would like to be billed for the class fee of each individual in your party on one invoice, please email alliep@casscounty.com.

Cancelation Policy:
If a student is unable to attend the in-person skills session, it is requested that the instructor is made aware of this at least 24 hours in advance. Online module progress cannot be transferred to a different skills session, and any rescheduling will result in having to restart the online modules.

A minimum of 2 students is required for health department staff to instruct a course. If this requirement is not met, students will receive a call the Monday before the course date to reschedule for another class.
