Effective 12/10/2021
Resolution No. 21-62 of the Cass County Commission

The Cass County Health Department (CCHD) is no longer permitted to require the isolation of any person who tests positive for COVID-19 or the quarantine of any person who is identified as a close contact to an individual who has tested positive for COVID-19.

The resolution does not apply to disease control measures for other communicable diseases.

CCHD will continue to investigate new COVID-19 cases and make those cases aware of CDC recommendations regarding isolation.  CCHD will also continue to notify contacts of positive cases and will make them aware of CDC recommendations for contacts.  Further, any person currently quarantined or isolated related to COVID-19 is now released from their quarantine and isolation, even if their quarantine/isolation period has not ended.

The Cass County Health Department strongly urges individuals who have tested positive for COVID-19 and those who are close contacts to individuals who have tested positive to follow the CDC's recommendations regarding isolation and quarantine.  Please see the link below for more information.
