Scam Alert!

It has came to the attention of the Recorder's Office that companies are mailing out information that is misleading to citizens. These mailers usually look like official government documents warning citizens that their may be a problem with their deed. These go on to say that for a substantial fee, usually around $100, they can send you a copy of your deed to make sure there are no issues. What they fail to mention (or may in small print), is that the Recorder's office can provide that same deed for just a couple dollars...usually no more than $2-$3, along with the piece of mind that a copy of your recorded deed can bring. Please call or visit the Recorder's Office in the county where your property is located to get a copy.
